Built up a bit of excitement in selecting this Nuit-Saint George, then opened it up and neaaahhh!
All a bit flat. Nothing terribly wrong and it wasn’t corked, just no major aromas or flavors. Guess you can’t win em all. Or, we’ve just been spoiled with amazing wine and every now and then you pick an average one.

Nice SLB especially for the price. Still not singing on all cylinders, I felt, even with a lengthy decant. But expresses lots of deep red cherry pie type of fruit with solid earth and acid. Finish is maybe a smidge more muddled than I was hoping. Still a nice wine. — 20 days ago
