On the Lawn at Tanglewood this evening with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. For Opening Night 2023 our conductor Andris Nelsons is leading Wynton MARSALIS (Herald, Holler, and Hallelujah), PROKOFIEV (Piano Concerto No. 3 in C major, Opus 26) with pianist Daniil Trifonov and then TCHAIKOVSKY (Symphony No. 4 in F minor, Opus 36). — 3 years ago

Very good Northern Michigan white, paired with grilled chicken, $10 no holler! — 10 years ago
Lovely mind zapper, as it is a delicate Gruner made with a Loire ideal, influenced by Vouvray & Muscadet.
Carrying a heft due to extended time 'sur lie' that lets the lingering mid-palate take on some oomph, this Gruner crackles with coastal scents, a hit of salinity, and a lively electricity from the native yeast, freshened acidity, and savory seaweed flavors that holler for seafood!
I'm thinking crab & chanterelles frittata, laced with bacon and cheese and a lazy brunch as a relaxed pairing to this gem.
Only 22 cases for the inaugural effort, but Mike Franchere (who is 6th generations deep into Oregon history!) will make more Gruner from these vineyards, and it'll be a stroke of luck for all of us to enjoy these bottles. — 12 years ago
2022 vintage. A fave producer. Medium body. Fruit and smoke and richness at a bargain Burgundy price. This vintage is a holler for the dollar. Picked up 4 cases of this at $20 USD a bottle. Excellent entry-level red Burg without the corresponding/frightening price tag. 6.26.24. — 2 years ago

Heavy shit numnum holler! — 7 years ago
Aramon?! I had never heard of this grape. Not to mention this region... Sorta floral, light bodied, intensely flavored with red fruit just barely baked, chewy tannins, long finish. Anyway, fun new stuff for me. Holler if you know it.

Holler, autumn, you're making yourself heard with this ethereal #SonomaCoast #PinotNoir, all rose and underbrush and dusty mineral. Plush tannin, velvet-really-velvet texture...like sitting in a plum velvet seat at an opera house. Music sold separate, alas. — 12 years ago
