Continuing quest to taste as many 22’s as possible.
Beautiful honeysuckle notes, Meyer lemon and spring flowers on the nose.
The palate show a good presence of Meyer lemon right at the top. Butterscotch notes, honeysuckle-honey comb, apricots, yellow peach, ripe, syrupy pineapple, cream, slivered almonds, saline, flinty notes, limestone marl, toast, some soft white spices, lots of moist to mushy chalk, yellow & spring flowers, excellent, round acidity and a well made, elegant, round, lush, finish that lasts 90 seconds landing on spice & minerals.
This will merit another point of two with appropriate age but still hard to justify $240 a bottle. The strong lemon presence needs time to calm. — 3 months ago
We had the 2012 Vintage on 2/14-15/25. An excellent Syray with tastes of blackberry, plum, mocha, leather and spice. As time went on the bouquet developed eucalyptus. Full bodied, New World. Fruit forward. I’m glad I gave it 13 years in the bottle. — 23 days ago
2022. Smoking. Lemony and rich. This is not typical Bourgogne. Much more there there. — 3 months ago

2001 vintage. First time go with this producer. Nice fill. Excellent cork. Decanted and throwing age-appropriate sed. Tasted after 15 mins, 45 mins and 1.5 hours. Light-medium body. Plenty of color. Slightly bretty with plenty of spice push throughout the back/finishing palate. Likely another half-decade at this level/intensity before (d)evolving. 02.20.25. — 17 days ago
