Let this warm a bit from fridge temp.
Large glass.
Briny, acid packed, ( there’s not a lot of nose…yet) straw/hay, yellow stone fruits. Really nice lingering pricklinesses,
Goes very well with Charred raab & orange shrimp. In my glass, quite orange tinged, in the Mrs. Smaller glass, pale white?

Rhonda loves, and says buy it all on chairman's. At total wine and Moore it is $17 before discounts. It is winery direct, so buy 2 cases at 20% off. — 3 years ago
On the nose the fruits have taken a back seat to honey, dried hay, lightly roasted nut, and flinty minerals. The palate is intense and viscous with complex tastes of bruised apple, apricot, lime, honeysuckle, and honey. Sharp acidity is a bit aggressive at times, but countered by hint of sweetness. Saline long finish.
Very good, but a bit below my expectation. Not sure it will continue to improve after 14 years. — 6 months ago
Golden hay color. Aromas of pineapple, honey, apple, peach, white floral, and lemon. Beautifully balanced with a hint of minerality. Dry, medium body and acidity. Best white wine I’ve had in a while! — 10 months ago
Decanted 1.5 hours. Not quite at the level of some other monte bellos I’ve had, but still very nice. Nose is wonderful - easily a 9.4+ nose. Lots of dark cherry and some earthy / hay / forest floor notes. But this doesn’t quite have the full mouthfeel and depth I was hoping for. Finish is slightly tannic with good acid. Nice pairing with pork chops - and a fun bottle for my son’s 2nd bday. — 2 years ago

I adore this woman maker in the Dolomites, but my friends felt this white blend too suave for the setting (San Juan, PR) — 15 days ago
