At Jack Fry’s in Louisville, challenged to pair wine with salmon, pork, and gnocchi. This worked well. “Soft” according to one friend. — 3 months ago
Just really starting to hit its perfect drink window. Really excellent Blanc de Blanc. Green apple, lime pulp with zest, amazing freshness & acidity. — 4 months ago
Clear, deep ruby in color; on the nose, it's clean with medium intensity primary and secondary aromas of blackberries, cassis, and graphite; on the palate, it's dry with high acidity, high tannins, high alcohol, full body, and pronounced primary and secondary flavors of black cherries, blueberries, black cardamom and bell pepper with a long finish. This wine is complex and intense. Overall, I rate this wine as very good. — 5 months ago
Always worthy of a celebration. — 6 months ago
Still has a great punch after all this time. Smooth and a little spicy. Loved it. — 7 months ago
Bought from PG 10/25 $64. Smooth and rich from the start. Dark berry flavors. Long, smooth finish. — 10 days ago
Decant and pour. On the nose: dark fruit, pencil shavings, green bell pepper, leather, mushrooms. Taste: a brooding, still austere, structured wine with dark fruit, cassis, smoked earth, cigar, minerals, crushed stone. Some pronounced tannins want you to give it more time for a better score in the future.

2024 vintage. Old-school, Oregon pinot stylings that just hit differently. Medium body. Starts off as a lowly workhorse, then intensifies into the thoroughbred this winery is perfectly capable of raising. Picked up two cases at a resto cost sub-$25 a btl. 4.1.26. — 3 months ago
Another solid vintage of this NZ Sauvy B. Bright golden color with green highlights. Aromas of citrus, fresh herbs/grass and tropical fruit. Flavors of grapefruit, lime, passion fruit with a mix mineral/wet stone based backbone. Distinct saline note on the long and crisp and clean finish. Bright acidity and medium body and alcohol (13.5%). Solid freshness and precision. Enjoyed with Asian food at Youyu in the Hard Rock in Atlantic City. — 4 months ago
More residual sugar than I remembered. Brioche finish, delicate bubbles — 8 months ago
Big plum, blackberry, and dark cherry flavors. Black pepper. Plenty of zippiness. A bit of earthiness. Delicious with pizza. Excellent wine. — 3 months ago

Not the champagne I had in mind for tonight, but sometimes circumstances play their part.
This is pleasant enough. It will go well with my almond tart later.
The mouthfeel shows nice mousse, somewhat lively acidity, bruised golden/red/green apple to apple sauce, bruised pear, white citrus blend-grapefruit w/ pith leading, quince, touch of brown sugar, some yeastiness, baguette crust, graham cracker, volcanic minerals w/ clay, white spice, caramel notes, vanillin, sea spray, grippy, grainy chalk, sea fossils-oysters, limestone marl, withering lilies, spring flowers, nice acidity and a well balanced, good length, elegant finish that lasts nearly 90 second and lands on mid intensity minerals and spice.
Photos of; the champagne house of Veuve Clicqoit and the widow herself. You see her under the metal gage and plated over the cork.

This is a very tasty sparkling wine from Russian River Valley. Feels very fresh, complex and entertaining. Nicely balanced and elegant.
This 6 year old Blanc de Blanc will continue to age nicely in the next 7 years.
Good right out of the bottle, and good by itself or with food.
100% Chardonnay grapes were aged for 4 years on the lees.
13.5% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
