Nothing in the tank, unfortunately. Should be showing something/anything? — 2 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 Passetoutgrains pours a ruby color with a transparent core; medium viscosity with light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe and tart berries, like a mixed berry jam. There’s also some red and purple flowers along with some underbrush and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium and has a nice juicy mineral finish. This might benefit from a little time on its side to gain a little more complexity but the quality is undeniable. Drink now through 2032. — 12 days ago
Really impressive on opening. Tastes like a Pinot noir should. Cherries, rose, a bit of fern like hiking in CA redwood grove, there’s some strawberry, some dust, plum skin. Interestingly the aftertaste, maybe 20 seconds later suddenly has a sweetness to it that I really enjoy. Drinking really well now on opening. Grateful to try this. — 8 months ago

Cherry cordial fruit menagerie. Impossible balance. — 2 months ago
2018 vintage. Open for business. Tasted three bottles with consistent notes. All three decanted. No sed. Medium/medium-heavy body. Smoky, plummy nose. Bright Rainier cherry mixed in with nose impressions along with some candied raspberry and astringent rose petals. Wanted slightly more tannin involvement but methinks they’re smoking ciggies, playing cards and just waiting for the kids to fall asleep. 7.27.24. — 7 months ago
Delectable doesn’t recognize the label correctly. This is the 2018 Morey-Saint-Denis 1st Cru Les Chaffots.
Just had to have this tonight as I couldn’t let Peter drink his premier cru by himself. Not sure if he was picky or had the wrong year, but this one was incredible. And hate to say it because I don’t like paying so much money for it. But ahhh it was awesome. You know it when you fight your wife for the last sip! Strong earthy undernotes but so vibrant, such bright layers of red fruit. Yum! 😋 — 9 months ago

The 2018 “Clos de la Roche” pours a deep ruby/purple color with medium viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is youthful and shows a combination of tart and ripe red and dark fruits: raspberry, strawberry, blackberry, pepper, exotic spices, minerals and some fine wood. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long. This has an overall character of freshness and the fruit is so beautiful…but this is such a baby. While it shows its quality now, I won’t touch my next bottle for another 10 years. Better after 2035 (to my palate) and through 2058. — 16 hours ago
