The 2020 Crianza is 100% Tempranillo from Pedrosa del Duero in Ribera del Duero. Garnet-red with a purple sheen. The nose presents blackcurrant and sour cherry notes along with wild herbs and hints of blood. Dry and juicy, the well-calibrated tannins are neither overly extractive nor too rigid, establishing an energetic, fluid palate with a gentle, long-lasting, lactic mouthfeel. Another producer to inherit some vineyards from Verset was Thiérry Allemand who purchased Noëls holdings in Reynard. That vineyard is the cornerstone for this wine. The 1999 Allemand “Reynard” is still full of fresh brambles, some cow pasture, and beautiful purple flowers. It’s sanguine with inorganic earth and gentle spices. Bangin’ with venison, umami bomb, potato and pearl onion. This is gorgeous and should be outstanding through 2040+. — a month ago

Showing this to my best pal who lives in Dijon and who literally bathes in Burg. Pinot Noir. I think he likes it too😍.
Cola, cherry, hay, raspberry... Wow this nose doing its trick again. Massive acid backbone, radiant cherry all along with a bit of a Cola note, a bit of tannins in the rear, very gentle, and a super duper long fruity finish that goes on for a long long time.
