The mighty Pisoni Vineyard produces some very compelling Pinot Noir. It’s hard to pick it early because the signature of the site seems to develop later. I liked it. Not to take any of the winemaking for granted it seemed fully ripe but had an acid tang I was surprised by. More time in bottle might grind that down. I’d dance to it — a month ago
Rich black cherry aromas, juicy on the palate with soft acidity and soft tannins, a round and pleasing feel that's super drinkable. I take back my comment about not really liking any Italian wine!! — a month ago
These guys do a fantastic job at a reasonable price (at least when I bought it, no idea now). The nose fades quick which is a bummer but it’s great on the finish - long and delightful. — 4 months ago
Mid cherry red in colour - translucent in parts. Red fruits of raspberry and strawberry with peppery notes. Good value at $47AUD. Slightly bitter at the end - a great food wine as expected. — a month ago
Bob….Congrats. You have found a great wine from an incredible producer. They also makes a white wine from Favorita grapes which have been genetically linked to Vermentino. I love drinking it.
2022 vintage. Will likely try to pick this up for the resto wine list again. Decanted but was pretty PNP from the get go along with surprising, back-end structure. Excellent effort and quintessential California pinot. 02.20.25. — a month ago
