Solid from start to finish. An hour in and it starts to show a sophisticated yet youthful exuberance. Delightful complexity as it opens. Up front a kaleidoscope, at first, of damp earth and mushrooms, giving way to juicy, ripe black cherries and red raspberries. Lush mid palate courtesy of excellent concentration and structure; mouth-watering acidity that goes and goes. Hint of bakers chocolate at the start of a light but lingering finish. I'm gonna be bummed when this bottle is empty.

Dark Ruby with rich complex aromas of black and red fruits with smoky toasty notes. On the palate ripe cherry, strawberry and sweet blueberry with cacao and toasty oak. Aged on French Oak, this wine was well balanced, savory, lingering nicely ending with some spicy notes. Aged well, has more room. Wow!! A Gem!! Tasting Sample.

Massively rich and edgy tannins make this the reason I love this PN. Peppered meats and wet earth hit the nose. Core of smoked black fruits that are muddled and present-Accents of minerals and boysenberry. Tight focused finish-cloves and smoke with gripping tannins.

Just a great wine all the way around. Berries, balanced and beautiful bouquet.

Let this one sit. Tastes young when we first opened. Really came to life after it was open for awhile. Lots of spice and bing cherry.

Week of nothing but Pinot- trying to train our noses. Stemmy greens- asparagus? My fav of the evening.

Wow. What a Pinot. Darker fruit at first. Smoothed out. Mineral. Nice wine.

Good spice and a big dark fruit palate on this Pinot. Popped and poured from a previously Coravined bottle. Very good but probably still needs a couple years.

Fantastic hints of dark fruit and spice on the nose. Beautiful dark ruby color coming from the glass. Elegant and bold flavors envelope the palate in only the way a Pinot noir can. Great flavors of dark fruit, boysenberry, and oak with a nice streak of earthiness. Pisoni is one of my favorite vineyards in Santa Lucia Highlands. This is a fantastic wine.
