Francs De Pieds

Château Marsau

Côtes de Francs Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

Nice floral, fruity, and earthy aromas.
Dark red color, medium full body.
Very earthy, notes of clay, red fruit flavors. Tannins are there but integrated and soft. Long earthy finish. Great wine
$17 - not sure if it is 100% Merlot

Les Petits Pieds d'Armand Châteauneuf-du-Pape Red Rhône Blend 2013

2013 vintage. Dried cherries washed over ripe figs and finish with a semi sweet fruit medley. Paired with lamb kabobs and oven warmed asparagus with red wine reduction. 💋 — 8 months ago

trousseau, plousard and pinot. super light maceration—dark rosé territory. silky, fresh and soulful. white pepper and deeply fruited palate would lead me to pineau d'aunis in a blind. very nice way to end the night. — 2 months ago

I dig these wines. And even visited Arbois on may way back from Beaune.

Château Puy-Galland

Francs Côtes de Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2010

Intensely spicy dark cherry nose with hints of purple flowers and dark chocolate. Dark jammy plum and black fruit flavors with notes of tobacco and dark chocolate. Deep red/purple color. Big tannins and a pleasantly tart and peppery finish. — 4 years ago

Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux Red Bordeaux Blend 2020

Smooth yet with fairly long after taste. Nice right bank entry level wine. I would drink it now instead of bottle aging for a few years. — 9 months ago

Paleo Bolgheri Cabernet Franc 2014

Paleo Rosso is one of the symbols of Bolgheri , and “Paleo” is the common name of a species of grass, which grows wild along the Tuscan Coast; best-known Cab Francs. Deep Ruby with aromas fruit, dried herbs and spice for this 100% Cab Franc. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum with leather, cacao and herbs. Fine tannins, long finish ending with fruit and earthy character. Nice, tasting sample. — 4 years ago
