Nose: elegant pineapple
Palate: mineral. Balanced. Pineapple. Juicy. Delicious. — 5 months ago
Wow this is singing! What a nose. Gorgeous lemon inflected minerality. Hints of attractive spicey oak and stunning rocky minerality. Tree bark and herbs. So good. What a screaming mimi of a nose. Palate is rich and ripe but also nervy and tense. Amazing purity buttressed by that awesome Meursault richness. Lovely texture. Awesome mouthfeel and a lovely lemon drop lime zest finish. Wonderful. — 5 years ago
Lovely aromas. Big time Pommard stones and minerals. Gorgeous blackberry and black cherry fruit. Really vivid and detailed. So pretty. Palate is ripe, lush and elegant with terrific balance. A bit clipped on the finish which will surely gain with air. Lovely persistence of black cherry with elegant and dusty tannins. Terrific concentration and a classic very old school profile. Needs time but very good today but will be much better in 5 years.
After 6-7 hours open this has changed. 9.3 to 9.4. So elegant and pure now. Really deep. So refined. — 5 years ago

Love FBalthazar’s Chaillot Cornas but never had his SS offering. I’d rather catch most SS wines in their youth to not roll the dice and get them super fresh.
Splash decanted; followed over two days.
Deep purple in the glass with hallmark Cornas aromatics…smoked meat, charcoal, dark potpourri/florals, cassis, blackberries. On the palate, the typical Cornas rusticity is more elegant, with peppered black fruits, sweet smoke, mocha, savory spices. It undoubtedly has a very “pure” profile, showing Syrah without any sort of mask. Good acid and tannin. Day two showed the mid-palate lose steam a bit, which isn’t a big surprise. Lovely bottle. If I could guarantee its evolution, this seemed like it would cruise another 7-10yrs, but who knows with SS! — a month ago
Violet, blackberry, licorice, and cedar. Lighter than I expected given how dark it is. — 6 months ago

Very fruitforward with (stewed) red fruit & blueberries, moist undergrowth and a whiff of herbs. Not shy at all yet retaining good freshness.
Starts quite soft & mellow on the palate, with the fine tannins framing the juicy fruit and a mineral, graphite note underlining the whole.
Good depth & character, would prefer a bit more lightness of touch.
An excellent Bourgogne Rouge nonetheless. — 5 years ago

Baby Puligny here. Hazelnuts, iodine and saline on the nose. Very mineral and precise. Rich and voluminous with amplitude, lushness and finesse. Really gorgeous wine. Good concentration and lovely lemony note on the finish. Really well made. — 2 months ago

Single vineyard "Les Belles Voyes" in the famous Grand Cru hillside of Oger. Pale lemon with fine creamy mousse and tiny rapid bubble flow, long lees aging. aromas stone fruits and blossom, bread dough and citrus. On the palate flavors of golden apple, peach, lemon citrus and honeysuckle with biscuit toast and nutty notes. Long finish, full-body ending with biscuit, mineral and citrus character. Outstanding! — 5 years ago
Minerally, lemon clawback from a tease of tropics/gooseberry. New oak gives it a little more seriousness, but not a malo/creamy mess — it’s crisp. Good “house” Sancerre — 6 years ago

Strong garrigue (sage and lavender dominate the herbal components), black pepper, and mineral aromas. Tinges of green tobacco, pink peppercorns, and dried chilies. Definitely one of the best GSMs I've had. — 7 days ago
