Nose starts off with a bit of VA, dried leaves and some gorgeously pure cherry fruit that needs some air to reveal itself more. Great stoney minerality as well with some major florals. Gorgeous. Haunting. Palate is very 21 and a bit backwards out of the gates but the freshness, purity of the fruit and length indicate this will open up into something stunning. 9.4 now. Really fleshed out with air and has that nimble, impossible elegant 21 character with just perfect but restrained early season cherry fruit. Outstanding length and texture. 9.4 to .9.5 with an hour of air. — a year ago
Wow, just wow. Nose is just stunning. Green apple, some sweet oak, butter and wet earth. Smells like a scene in nature. Unreal mineral stank. Florent is on a white wine mission these days. Palate is super precise and lean but also has an unreal silken texture and is just insane juicy and super clean. This finish pitter patters forever. Wow. The fruit is crunchy and crystalline. There is a dense structure that ensures aging. Huge concentration and my god this is so juicy and piquant. Unreal. So happy how Florant has turned a corner. Finish leaves you wanting more. Smells like apple pie now with air and gains finesse. But still 1er Cru Meursault level. Really amazing textures in this wine with air. Mature textures. So impressive. — 9 months ago
Incredibly fresh, sherbety Chenin, almost a champagne profile in terms of appley acids, really great. — a month ago
Lovely grocery store purchase $10E. Perfect with roasted chicken with lemon, shallots, garlic potatoes and mushrooms that I cooked. Pretty darn reasonable after lunch out yesterday that somehow went off the rails with blue lobster. I’ve never heard of blue lobster. Plan to learn. — 5 months ago
