A great blend of five grapes. Enjoyed with grilled chicken thighs and oven roasted mushrooms. Combo of berries and a hint of pepper. Smooth and stately finish. — 8 months ago
On the heavier side, a bit tart, plums — 9 months ago
The 2021 Bedrock Heritage Wine is a great expression of this site. Black cherry, chocolate, spice, leather and tobacco are front and center. This dark, virile Zinfandel-based field blend packs a serious punch. There's plenty of detail and nuance behind all of that intensity. The 2021 is a big wine, but also less monolithic than some previous editions. There's a bit more whole cluster in the 2021 than in the past, so perhaps that explains the wine's nuance. The 2021 is one of the best wines I have ever tasted from the Bedrock vineyard, and I say that as someone who is not yet fully convinced of the potential here. Not one to drink a lot of white wine but this is a very well balanced wine . Good fruit, acids, minerality , and a bit of cream on the finish. Definitely a great white wine — a month ago
15.3% ABV Planted in 1885 by William MacPherson Hill. Red wine ancient field blend, Zin w/ secondary varietal being grenache along with another twenty or so varieties. Good wine. — 4 months ago
Still one of the great alt whites in the world.
N: swirling white and yellow flowers. Almost an echo of tropical fruit.
P: delicious. Clean. Balanced. Juicy. Liquid yellow flowers. Some crunch. Mountain steam. Amazing elegance.
9.5-9.6. Sick value at this price.

I heard Bill Murray on a podcast recently raving about the bramble-berry pie he had the night before, describing the many berries that went into making it so delicious. It’s a fitting description for the current release of Bedrock’s Dolinsek Heritage red too, which is loaded with a rainbow of berry flavors and all their sweetness and bright acidity captured in a bottle instead of a crust. There’s an added bonus of a long, peppery finish thanks to the 70+% Zin in the field blend and some firm, drying tannins that signal a great future ahead. — a year ago
Great red blend. Really jammy and rich. Needs lots of time to breathe. Better the second day. Maybe decant this if you’re planning on drinking the whole thing in one night? — 5 years ago
Lovely easy to drink orange vino! — 5 years ago
We enjoyed this Alsatian blend from one of my favourite California producers with our mussels on NYE. 65% Pinot Gris, 32% Riesling, 3% Gewürztraminer - the nose is reminiscent of a hay ride in the fall while snacking on pears. The palate is sublime with flavours of apricot, lemon zest, Bartlett pear and a hint of petrol. Field Recordings is making some amazing wine. — 5 years ago

Front label missing. Frothy & fun. Perhaps just as important is the sub 17$ price tag. — 23 days ago
