The 2022 Pinot Noir (Santa Barbara County) is a stellar appellation-level wine. Bright and vibrant, with terrific depth, the 2022 possesses striking energy, expressive, pliant fruit and fabulous balance. Crushed red berries, white pepper, mint and rose petal all grace this exquisite Pinot Noir. This is, without question, one of the best Pinots in its peer group in 2022. Spicy, almost smoky at the start, with a sweet finish that becomes more pronounced after several minutes in the glass — 3 months ago
2022 vintage opened in 2024. Should have been more patient, but it was delightful young. Apple, lemon, with light caramel. — 9 days ago
Terrific red wine from the La Clarine Estate vineyard, reminds me a little of Domaine de Trevallon (Cab and Syrah, though here other grapes as well), big and rich still, showing just a tad of mature notes, long, persistent finish, hides its 14.5% ABV well, kudos to Hank!! — a month ago
Big, bold, very fruit forward. Has better structure and more interesting tannin than I expected, which helps make this wine more interesting than a jammy fruit bomb. Not a favorite approach of mine, but this one is interesting. — 5 months ago
Ruby in color with light intensity and a wide reddish/ cloudy rim.
Light nose of strawberries, raspberries, sweet cherries, light oak and spices.
Medium in body and soft with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with bing cherries, raspberries, strawberries, light wood, herbs, light vegetables, spices and coffee.
Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and raspberries.
This young Pinot Noir from Oregon is starting to drink nicely, but needs a few years in the bottle to mature properly.
This Single Vineyard is easy drinking, nicely balanced and elegant.
Good right out of the bottle, and better after an hour of airtime.
Not overly complex at this point, but would be nice to revisit it in 3 years and see how it evolves.
Good by itself or with food. I gave it a light chill and had it with hard cheeses.
A small production of only 269 cases. Unfined and unfiltered.
12.9% alcohol by volume.
89 points.

2022. Really delicious and balanced skin contact wine. Savory notes without the funk of some similar style wines. We loved it paired with Persian kebabs, spreads, and salads. — 7 days ago
