Yes. Super Chablisean. Focused and correct. — a month ago
Simple, smooth, lemon burst with a slightly sweet aftertaste. Great with white fish. — 6 months ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of an hour. The 2022 pours a straw color with medium viscosity. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of tart orchards and citrus fruits: green apple, lemon curd, minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+. Drink now through 2032. — 22 days ago
@Neal Martin is, as usual, spot on with his note, but I prefer the VV bottling. — a month ago

The 2022 Chablis Vaudésir Grand Cru, 80% aged in used barrels, has quite a striking and powerful bouquet. It evinces a bit of wood contact that will need a few months to be fully subsumed, yet there is plenty of fruit to soak that up. The palate is very well-balanced, with a bright entry, peachy and zesty. The 2022 has quite a precocious, irresistible finish. It's not the most complex Vaudésir, but you'll have no regrets finding it in your glass. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis. (Neal Martin, Vinous, August 2024)

Very distinctive. Some barnyard funk in the nose, alongside smoky notes and dark, ripe, pungent berries. Not a shy nose. On the palate it’s earthy, a little funky, with good acids. Nice structural balance to counter the nattie flavor profile. A Crozes that marches to the beat of its own drummer.
UPDATE: Night 2, there is an overwhelming nail polish remover scent that’s taken over. Yuk. Down the drain. If you have these, drink them soon, and fast. — 2 months ago
Bit too sweet for me, but others may like this style. Like, your in-laws. — a month ago
Presented to me double-blind at Tasting Group. The wine presents a straw color moving towards a silvery rim; medium viscosity with no signs of particles or gas. On the nose, the wine is bright with notes of lemon/lime citrus, some tropical fruits, cashews, and minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+, bordering high acid. The finish is medium+ and there was a textural thing that was sort of giving me woolly vibes. Initial conclusions: this could be a Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay or Albariño from France, the United States or Spain. Because the non-fruit and structure seemed to show the most and I sensed some French oak, I was leaning towards France. I kinda liked Chardonnay but the combination of texture and higher acid had me debating on Chenin, and I went with that. Chenin Blanc from France, from the Loire, Vouvray Sec 2018. In hindsight, I should have thought a bite more about 1er or GC Chablis as an option. Whatever, this was tasty stuff. Drink now through 2030 with ease. — 5 months ago

A little more open than my last bottle a year ago. Love the pure granitic stanky minerality on the nose. Some dark, tight, bright berry fruit and a spritz of pink grapefruit rind. So soft and gulpable in the mouth. Flavors veering more to the savory, stony side than fruity. — 2 days ago
