Chardonnay in its most seductive suit. Pale gold. The nose hasripe pear, lemon curd, and toasted hazelnut, laced with a smoky mineral edge. On the palate, it’s velvet over stone: generous orchard fruit and honeyed cream cut by crystalline acidity and salinity. It was great now but promises even greater depth as it ages. — 21 days ago

Back at Le Cap where we discovered our wine of the year 2024 (Biondi Santi). This year going with a sommelier recommended Vosne Romanee (our go to red burgundy). Initial impression was “wow it’s another wine of the year contender” with notes of white truffle, strawberry ice cream and strawberry jam. Softer and more delicate than other Vosne’s we’ve tasted but after 3 hours of being open the taste dropped off at the end, so only a 9.7. — a month ago

Noticeable oak on the nose. Tangy deep fruit, very clear with some salinity and violet. Lovely vosne spice, and with air black cherry and rose comes through. Lovely texture and character and Intense and long. Ina few years this will probably be better Very good — 5 months ago
