Long finish with honey suckle and spices.
This first growth sweet wine is a delicious one from Bordeaux. Showing great complexity and mouthfeel. Big and bold, sweet and well balanced.
This one can be aged for a long long time, although it is so yummy now.
This 2011 vintage was magnificent in Sauternes. Tasty, complex and delicious. I loved it.

Colour of mid Lemon with green tinges. Aromas of mouldy Apple with dust and honey. My wife noted Geranium and cut grass (and generally loved the wine). Perfectly judged oak influence which doesn’t intrude. The next day after use of VacuVin different aromas of grapefruit and honeysuckle. Really must drink more White Bordeaux. — 7 days ago
A very enjoyable, and very complex, 21 year old red blend from Pessac Léognan, Bordeaux.
Showing red and black fruits with earth, chocolates, tobacco, dark peppercorn, dark coffee, forest floor, green vegetables, graphites, vinaigrette and spices.
Needs 3 hours to open up properly and show the complexity.
Peaking now, and will be good in the next few years. What a treat. This is so delicious.

Spalding get your foot off the boat! Thought of that quote when my wife told me to put the phone down that half of the 30 people following me don’t care about what I’m posting. I told her correction- less than 10 people follow me and NO one cares! I digress. Oh yes the wine. I have a soft spot for this wine. I bought this when I first started collecting. I have reviewed it before. Still think 04 is better than 03. Medium weight and still a decent inky purple with dark fruit, tobacco some smoke and mineral. — 12 days ago
