This is a delicious Sauvignon Blanc from Pessac-Léognan. Crisp and refreshing with nice weight and complexity.
Nose is gentle and elegant. The palate is crisp, dry and rich.
Showing citrus, lemons, spices, light wood, green apples, grapefruits and minerals.
Nice length on the finish with limes and minerals.
A Good quality wine. Definitely my favorite white Bordeaux so far.
This 5 year old is drinking very nicely now, and will continue to evolve in the next 5 years.
Needs 30 minutes to open up properly and show more complexity.
Robert Parker 93 points. 94 points Wine Spectator.
I paired it with a charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
A blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Gris.

Chateau dates back to 13th century, originally used as fortress. 1st known owner was Sieur Raymond Peyraguey, purchasing the property in 1618. In January 2014, Silvio Denz purchased Chateau from GDF Suez. Balanced and fruity, this ripe, sweet wine delivers both botrytis-like character and generous fruit. It has fine acidity to cut through the richness, giving intense sweetness. Drinks well. Bottle age will benefit. — 7 days ago
Blend of 65% Cab Sauvignon, 30% Merlot & 5% Petite Verdot. A wonderful wine with ripe fruit, floral and spice aromas. Cherry, plum and currant flavors with a nice mineral edge, creamy soft tannins, lingering finish ending with a earthy mineral tang. Age worthy! Very Nice! — 14 days ago
Dark cherries light tannins very smooth with a lingering finish. Goes well with BBQ sirloin, fresh corn on the cob, and watermelon salad with feta cheese. — 4 days ago
An absolutely stunning lunch from @joe leatherwood today. 1 sparkler, 2 whites, 5 reds and 1 dessert wine. All served blind.
Out of the lineup of the five reds, this had the aromatics that kept me going back for more. Initially, it reminded me of an older Ridge Monte Bello as I thought I got the slight hint of American oak, but it dissipated, allowing the bright black cherry, sandalwood, and herbs to shine. Gained some power as the lunch went on. Pipe tobacco, bay leaf, dusty blackberries and leather. The fruit was still tart (in a good way), showing how impressive this can age. I guessed this was early ‘00s Bordeaux. — 18 days ago
