This is my 3rd and the last bottle over the past year. It definitely sits at its plateau now and fully awake. Difficult to say when the drinking window will close down.
Lots of energy and precision. Cabernet Sauvignon dominant. Perfumed black currant jam with leaves. Complex tertiary aromas make a beautiful bouquet. Balance of tannins, fruits and acidity at its perfection. Tannins have soften but not yet faded away.
Undoubted 2nd Growth quality. — 15 days ago
Deep and concentrated and with tannins not yet fully resolved. Although having shed lots of its fruit, it was clear to still have a plenty of life left and a lot to offer. Cigar ash, espresso, cedar, scorched earth and black currants. The finish was quite long and generous with grip and very good intensity. — 2 hours ago
19 hrs open but 14 in a vacuum....someone help me with the math, cuz I know it’s still trace developing under decanter seal....fantastic and worth the wait. Purple shifts to garnet. Jam to stewed fruit. A Utah-like powder emerges. A shout becomes a suggestion. Wonderful Thursday afternoon wine, for considering the phenomenon of simultaneous forward momentum and stasis. — 14 days ago
The nose is pretty yet slightly restrained, showing blackberry and plum, with hints of licorice and purple flowers. On the palate, soft textures are elevated by zippy acids with mineral-tinged red and black fruits, coming across as medium-to-light bodied and quite feminine, as fine tannins slowly saturate the senses. The finish is long and structured, focused on dark inner florals more than fruit, with a twang of savory spice and cheek-puckering tension. More time may be necessary here to gain some textural depth, yet it’s the lack of fruit that worries me the most. — 24 days ago
