Nose: Smokey minerals. Lemon rind. Pith. Some sea breeze. Complete. Much richer and more dense as it opens.
Palate: hint of sweet lemon. Hidden density. Delicious. Elegant. Almost an herbal liquor taste after an hour. Denser an hour in.

A French Pinot Noir, which is interestingly grown in Beaujolais. Begins with a welcome balance of fruit and earth on the nose with raspberry and cranberry along notes of mushroom and black pepper. 2020. One of three Rieslings we had with dinner tonight at The Oven Cellar. Dönnhoff is my daughter’s favorite producer, but she’s never had a GG wine. This wine had the creamiest texture and great orchard fruit flavors. Paired great with the all the dishes we had. — 10 days ago
