Very nice balance and in it’s perfect window at age 17. Red fruits punctuated with loamy earth tones, nice acidity and a long finish. — 5 months ago

Merlot dominates this blend but there is some Cabernet Sauvignon and some Cabernet Franc blended in. Medium ruby color with a slight clear meniscus. Fruit forward aromas and flavors of blackberry, black cherry, dark plum, baking spices and cedar. Medium-plus finish. Medium body and very silky tannins. Well balanced/layered acidity and a very silky texture. A bit more austere than a traditional Medoc red blend. At peak. — 9 months ago
Quintessential Beaune. Quite young, but already showing some soft edges. Cherry notes combine with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. This is not for the long haul, but is presenting well right now. Finishes dry, so in my mind, this requires food - Nougatine at Jean Georges. — 5 years ago
The 2015 BDX continue to amaze and this Fronsac fits the bill. No decanting necessary. Jumping out of the bottle with beautiful red fruit and cassis notes, silky, and nicely balanced and integrated tannins, at such a young age, I am amazed. Feels like drinking a Grand Cru from a slightly lesser vintage. Great value too. If I can find it, I’ll buy a case. Hopefully two. — 6 years ago
