La Maltroie Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Chardonnay 2012

Meaningfully better on day 2 than day 1. At first presents slightly one note but with a bit of time this really comes into its own. Great depth and richness balanced with round acids and a long finish. — a month ago

Le Domaine Chinon Cabernet Franc 2022

Violet, mushroom, green olive, raspberry. Juicy on the palate. Red fruit and bright acidity with soft, smooth tannins. Lingering olive and raspberry. Lovely, drinkable stuff. Almost like a love child of Syrah and Pinot Noir. — 2 months ago

Chassagne-Montrachet Chardonnay 2010

Previous bottle opened a few months ago was very tired, but tonight we are back to form. Plenty of ripe and lean orchard fruit with a drop of lemon. Lots coming through for a village wine, both in terms of flavors as well as density. Very good now. — a month ago

Comtesse Bernard de Cherisey

La Genelotte Meursault-Blagny 1er Cru Chardonnay 2005

2005 drunk in 2025. Delicious even though the cork crumbled. Gorgeous color, full body, a bit grassy and green apple. — a month ago

La Croix Boissée Chinon Cabernet Franc 2014

Crimson with a cherry red tinge. A certain pong on the nose - a cowyard note but not off putting - I like it. On the medium bodied palate black fruits and sour cherry. Highly savoury on the palate. The cowyard notes remained throughout the 3 to 4 hour time frame to consume the bottle. I drink very few Loire Valley reds but on the basis of this wine I should drink more. — 2 months ago
