Had a bottle 66 weeks ago - this is my last bottle. White florals. The palate is delicate, restrained and polished. After a while sweet fruit but undeniably more citrus than stone fruit. The finish shows cleansing citric acid with a touch of salinity. The same notes the following night. 2017 - a good year for white burgundy.

Jan 28th, 2025Brief notes. Good acid, a little sulphidic funk - light to medium weight palate. Quite lean, more grapefruit than stone fruit. A faint oak influence. A saline note amongst the minerality. 2017 not a bad year for white Burgundy.

Magnifique encore une fois que ce Villages 2017, équilibre, finesse, vivacité, belle longueur, tout y est. 91-92
Excellent once again this Villages level Chassagne, balance, finesse, crisp, nice length, gorgeous.

On s’ouvre un autre délicieux Chassagne Villages 2017 de Bernard Moreau. Toujours aussi savoureux. Un petit côté citronné et salin au nez, mais finement, avec une touche beurrée. La bouche est généreuse, charmante, une certaine rondeur avec une touche de richesse, mais aussi avec suffisamment de tension appuyée et qui donne du corps au vin tout en ayant une belle fraîcheur et une longueur fort appréciable, toute une réussite pour un Villages. 91-92
Once again another great bottle if this decently priced Chassagne Villages. Some lemon, touch of butter nd definitely a salinity on the nose and palate. A generous and chrming wine with some roundness and richness yet with enough acidity to make it a great balance, good length too, delicious simply and now my 4th bottle in the last year and they were all spot on.

La bouche est généreuse, charmante, une certaine rondeur avec une touche de richesse, mais aussi avec suffisamment de tension appuyée et qui donne du corps au vin tout en ayant une belle fraîcheur et une longueur fort appréciable, toute une réussite pour un Villages. 91-92

Discrete nose at first that opens up nicely after to Lemon zest, white fruit and slight minerality that also carries to the delicious palate, good tension, some nice richness brought by a touch of oak that is subtle and balanced with the rest, awesome success in this generous 2017 vintage it seems. 93 for this villages for sure.
Wow! Vraiment agréablement surpris par ce Chassagne Villages. Nez discret au départ, se complexifie par la suite avec une côté salin et citronné finement entre autres, des fruits blancs aussi. Une bouche superbe, ciselée et avec une certaine richesse, un boisé judicieux et utilisé parcimonieusement il me semble, en équilibre et très généreuse, fidèle au millésime sans doute. 93 à ce niveau.
