2016 vintage. I prefer the 2016 to the 2015, more fruit to cover the chalkiness. Probably the most impressive Castillon I've ever tasted. Bright, perfectly ripe red fruit and fine grained tannin, with a complexity rarely seen in Castillon ( Château Clarisse is another one to watch). Abv. 14,5 %. — a year ago

Bright ruby color. Aromas and flavors of dried/candied black cherry/plum with hints of earth, mushroom and tobacco. Note of oaky charcoal on the finish. Grippy tannins and mouth watering acidity.
