Bright ruby color. Aromas and flavors of dried/candied black cherry/plum with hints of earth, mushroom and tobacco. Note of oaky charcoal on the finish. Grippy tannins and mouth watering acidity. More fruit forward and juicy (in a pleasant way) than I would have expected from a Red Burgundy. Generous and complex. Quite nice.
