A slight deviation in the Burgundy region - off to Richebourg, Grand Cru no less!
Sommelier recommended producer ($$$$$) an excellent choice.
Tasting notes: Sweet, candy scent upon opening (caramel/fudge) then quickly revealed a fruit structure - sweet red fruits and cinnamon sticks (we are making it sound like a dessert wine but that came next 😋) — 4 months ago

Plummy color tinged with tan, nose of woodsy mushroom, brown bread turned earth. Strong entry of cherry bursting through earth and cedar root. Chewy tannins show this very much alive and brimming with secret power! So good, so nice!

Medium weight, red fruit, disappears after an echexeaux of the same year and same producer in the same vintage. Excellent Chambolle, red fruit, quite heady. Great company for binge Netflix Fauda. — 5 years ago

2020 vintage. Opened and decanted. Tasted after 3 hours open. Medium/medium-heavy body. Big cranberry, baking spice, plum and pomegranate nose + flavors. Expectedly intense and full throttle Much too young to exhibit any modicum of tea-like or earthy notes. Think we’re gonna hafta wait (at least) 15 years for those to creep in but it’ll be worth the wait. 4.23.26. — 2 months ago
