2013 vintage. Opened with a Durand. Excellent cork. Decanted and tasted after 30 minutes and 1.5 hours. Aromatic during a high decant. Light-medium body. Past visits with this producer have yielded medium body results so this was a slight surprise. Slightly avant-garde as it came across as a bit angular but with just enough fruit details to thinly stretch across any gaps. Seemed like a wine trying to tear itself apart and start anew. Concentration aplenty. Down and durty here and there. Tannins the overbearing sports parent on a Saturday morning after an Irish coffee-or three. It was the only bottle available from this specific example. Loved it in many ways but also suspect it may be an outlier and would show differently from other specimens. Would purchase again if lucky enough to encounter. Appropriately spooky. 10.31.26.

I can see why these wines are controversial among Burg people, especially when young...this was deep purple, muscular, fruit forward, extracted, powerful. Tasty, very Gevrey, but not exactly Burgundian
