A nice blend of 90% Sauvignon Blanc, 5% Semillon and 5% Sauvignon Musque pale lemon with aromas of tropical and citrus fruits with smoky floral notes. On the palate flavors of apple, melon, pear and lemon citrus notes with nice balance, crisp medium finish ending with fruit and stony mineral notes. Nice value! — 6 months ago
Pale yellow color. Aromas of stone fruit, white flowers and citrus. Very interesting flavor melange of pear, lemon, orange and pineapple. Slight stony note on the long lasting finish. Very crisp acidity and an interesting slightly creamy texture. Elegant, fresh, crunchy and lively! Very solid for its price point. — 10 months ago
The south facing floral, pure and mineral 2011 Tillets is in such a good spot. It’s captivatingly aromatic with layers of honeyed white orchard fruit, lilies, toasted hazelnut and gun smoke. The palate is vibrant and so elegant with a crystalline purity, balanced citrusy acids and a persistent stony mineral finish. Excellent vintage for Roulot. — 4 years ago

Pale yellow colour. Reductive in style. Intense austere stony nose. Focused. Some citrus. Tight on the palate and needs some aeration. Very promising wine and I am happy to have a few bottles in my cellar. Jean Chartron significantly improved over the past decade and wines now show equal to the noble terroir they come from. This historic monopole clos occupies the far end from Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet in the northern part of la Pucelle 1er Cru. Hard to beat its QPR.

Medium yellow. Meyer lemon, lemon curd, yellow delicious apple, underripe white peach, sea salt, yeasty, briny, stony minerality, and hints of cheese rind. Tart citrus and high tone minerality on the palate. Elevated acidity, 12.5% abv, medium+ finish. Importer’s notes: From the right side of the Serein River, situated right next to the Grand Cru Blanchot. A soft and elegant wine, the Montée de Tonnerre is situated in the same line as the Grand Crus. The notable white clay helps to develop intense fruit and floral aromas. The older vines add the depth and complexity in the mouth. Regarded by many as the best and most consistent Premier Cru in Chablis. Lime-clay soils with Kimmeridgian fossils. Fermentation and maturing in stainless steel tanks. — 6 years ago
Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of several hours. The 2023 pours a deep ruby/garnet with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity and moderate staining of the tears. On the nose the wine is developing with heady notes of tart cherry, mixed brambles, spearmint, red and purple flowers, old school permanent marker, licorice, tomato, green herbs, clove and stony earth. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and the body is, ooof…very nice. Another delicious vintage of Cuvée Réservée. Drink now through 2043. — 2 months ago
Decant and pour(little sediment). A beautiful deep ruby red. On the nose: dark red fruit, floral, tobacco leaf, potting soil, vanilla toast. Taste: chalky, restrained old school style(13.5 alc) wine with blackberry, cedar, currants, pepper, earth, and a long dry finish with some dusty tannins. YUM! — 10 months ago

Delicate pale straw color. Tart Gala apple and pear. Crisp with balanced acidity true to the vineyard and deftness of the winemaker. This wine can keep going for years to come. Drank over three nights and final glass was no less, perhaps more enjoyable than the first. — 6 years ago
Napa Chardonnay made with neutral oak. Round and zesty, great because of how not Napa it is. The vineyards are also gorgeous. — 7 years ago
Along with 02, 04 and the majestic 2010, 08 is one of my absolute favorite vintages from Raveneau and it’s absolutely rocking tonight showing superb weight, density and waxy yellow fruit that’s layered with stony minerality and piercing lemony acids. 08 Raveneau is all about that Chablisian balance: proper levels of richness and acid, ripeness and minerality. Code yellow ftw 🙌🏻 — 3 years ago

Refreshing and good mouthfeel, it was lacking in depth, length and on the simple side. — 2 months ago
