Nose of umami, baker’s chocolate, and Camembert. On the pallet it’s rich with a long finish. After about two hours it started showing blue fruit. Amazingly complex and well integrated wine. — 5 years ago
Beautiful and well integrated wine. A little over its peak, but still has a gorgeous red fruit bouquet and woodsy pallet. — 6 years ago
Well integrated wine with resolved tannins. Inky color and black fruit with some tertiary aromas. Not at all tired, feels like it’s hitting its drinking window. — 5 years ago
Wow, definitely a wine onto itself. The nose is stewed blackberries and even some aged wine foresty notes. The pallet is heavy red fruit with a little heat from the 16% alcohol. Tiny bit of tannin rounds out how fruity the wine is even at 10 years old. — 5 years ago
Great balance between oak and fruit. Tasted it a while ago, but seem to recall it could stand on its own without food. — 6 years ago
Napa Chardonnay made with neutral oak. Round and zesty, great because of how not Napa it is. The vineyards are also gorgeous. — 5 years ago
Second wine of the night. Rich, round, with a medium weight on the pallet. — 5 years ago
Very tertiary with almost no acid left. Still very drinkable with notes of dried cherries and hickory. — 6 years ago
Perfectly executed Burgundy Chardonnay. Great focus and just the right amount of toasty richness. — 6 years ago
