I generally try to keep politics or sorrow events off this platform. However, this morning we watched the McCain funeral and were genuinely moved. We should all hope for such a beautiful funeral.
Today, John McCain brought the world one final parting gift. A message of; peace, unity, love, respect and hope for our country. Let’s hope people listen and try to live their lives with a little more of each.
Today, a country grieves the loss of a great American and celebrates the life of a true American hero. We will miss you and your voice in our country’s discourse. Cheers & R.I.P John. You have certainly earned it.
I can’t think of many better bottles than to celebrate his life and his service commit to our country!
Disgorged in Autumn of 2014. 57 wines with the oldest from 2000 to 2008.
On the nose, blood orange, white citrus, orange peel, dry apricot, Mexican papaya, spice, sea spray, sea shells, gray volcanic minerals with grit, citrus blossoms and spring flowers with orange Gerber Daisies.
The body is full, rich and lush. Micro oxygenation, blood orange, tangerine, white citrus, orange peel, dry apricot, yellow peach, Mexican papaya, baguette crust, spice with palate heat, sea spray, sea shells, gritty gray volcanic minerals with citrus blossoms and spring flowers with orange gerber Gaisies. The acidity is perfect. The finish is beautifully long, rich, lush, elegant and goes on and on.

Been a minute since I’ve had this one. Yeasty nose with lime zest and very high toned. Loads of minerals. Meyer lemon. Apple skins. Great complexity. Lovely cut and sap with good lemony and yeasty mineral inflected fruit. Almost lemon drop on the finish with minerals. Very elegant and excellent but not intrusive structure. Drinkable and will age. Great. Very juicy and long. — 4 days ago
Kicking off Sunday Funday. Thanks to my 5 year old for the small yellow flower in the pic. But it’s suiting for this light on its feet and bright krug with almond candy, brioche, and a kiss of lime. Can’t go wrong with this stuff. Quintessential krug this NV bottle — 3 days ago
70% Pinot Noir, 30% Chardonnay.
Dosage = 6 g/l
Initially a bit muted on the palate but opens up nicely with some air.
Not really a bargain at $40 which I guess is why you can now find it at Grocery Outlet (Napa) for $17.99.
@Anthony Lombardi Any association? 😁 — 7 days ago
Color : White
Wine estate : Taittinger
Designation : Champagne
Name : Brut Réserve
Country : France
Vivino : 4/5
Note : Excellent champagne value for money. This one is the special FIFA World Cup. It is a little more refreshing than the reserve. Fine bubbles in her bright golden robe. On the palate, a creaminess with citrus flavors and a final more than correct.

Ok some airport lounges are better than others. My first time in the Toronto Air Canada Signature Lounge. Gotta say, I am impressed. Moet & Chandon Imperial by the glass and a large selection of wines from the Niagara Peninsula. As is always suggested and whenever you can find it...get the Moet & Chandon Brut Rose. Such a great way to start any meal or occasion. Fruit and light acidity make the bubbles sparkle and prep the pallet for...Atlantic Char Tartar. — 10 days ago
Celebrated the last day of my old Job and the beginning of a new adventure with a delish bottle of bubbly and some close friends. I usually subscribe to more Blanc de Blanc styles of champagne, but this Blanc de Noirs is killin it. Brut nature, old school champagne house and it shows - beautiful autolysis bready yeasty aromas with a gorgeous baked caramel apple thing going on on the palate. Love this sexy beast. — 10 days ago
