Our (not so) little (anymore) princess her birthday so time for our yearly 2011. After having rated two previous bottles not as high as you would expect this one actually delivered. Very elegant, in balance and clearly at peak. Quite some years ahead — 7 months ago

Tasted twice! Blend of 71% Cab Sauv, 8% Cab Franc, 9% Petit Verdot, 11% Merlot & 1% Malbec, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe berry fruits, tobacco, herbs and licorice. On the palate black cherry, raspberry and blackberry flavors with espresso, mocha, oak and earthy tobacco notes. Well balanced, great mouthfeel, medium acidity, fine ripe silky tannins, long finish ending with fruit, cedar and toasty spice! Very Nice! Will age well for another decade! — 4 years ago

Hillside Select is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 32 months in 100% new 60-gallon French oak barrels. Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of red/black fruits, with hints of cedar, floral, oak, herbs & spice. Reddish in color with a wide reddish rim and medium intensity. Pretty color.
Strong nose of red fruits with earth, light wood, light Mediterranean spices, mushrooms, earth and herbs.
Light to medium in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, cherries, spices, light oak, licorice, chocolates, tobacco, herbs, spices, light green tea and earth.
Nice finish with soft tannins and tangy cranberries.
This is a delicious 15 year old Pinot Noir from Oregon. Nicely balanced and elegant.
Feels like a red Burgundy, which I loved. Complex and interesting. Tangy and spicy.
I've had a few vintages of this wine and it is very consistent. Drinking beautifully now, and will continue to do so in the next 10 years.
Wine Enthusiasts 91 points.
Easy drinking, and good by itself or with food.
Pinot Noir grapes were aged in (55% new) French oak barrels for 15 months.

Smooth and rich with pronounced berry fruit. I prefer a bit more earthy and forest floor but still a nice accompaniment to rack of lamb. — a month ago
