Plenty of finesse and acidity despite the year, lots of depth to unwind - ought to age very nicely — 6 hours ago
Still developing, all business at this point, nothing flashy but has it together. All of the classical northern Rhône things are there (violets, pepper, smoked meat, herbs et al). A nice way to experience the maestro without shelling out big(ger) bucks for the Hermitage — 10 days ago
This bottle is like old Bordeaux. Nose has this lovely earth. Some cranberries peek out. Palate is cherry and cranberries. Very elegant. Still grippy tanins. Quite lovely and an interesting wine to drink.
Based on other notes this cork may have been very permissive oxygen wise.
Very elegant. Not at all rustic.
This needs some air for sure.

Any producer that can somehow bring sadomasochism into wine should be congratulated. I had this several years ago and it’s interesting how it’s changed. It’s become more brutish, pun intended. it’s a bigger wine. In the past I loved it’s cinnamon notes and lighter texture but now it feels like there’s more Syrah or perhaps global warming has just caught up to it. This has greatly improved since my last bottle several years ago. Dark cherry, cedar, florals. Long and delicious finish. Several years ago, a friend told me the best wine with truffles was old Bordeaux. That was news to me as I always chose Barolo or Burgundy. I’m now a convert. — 3 days ago
Fascinating nose that shows the unreal unique terroir of St. Romain. Lemon drop, herbal, mineral, so distinct. Some ripe fruit. Palate is juicy and clean with terrific purity and freshness. Long, juicy and with an ample texture but great minerality. Lovely savory quality on the finish. Very long, salty and juicy. Terrific now but I sense there is more. Much more. @Delectable Wine its Chardonnay. Thanks. — 10 days ago
The reserve nose opens up with Initially with a waft of VA but then with air displays aromas dried purple flowers, stewed fruits, moss and pine needles. This could have really benefited from one hour decant and warmed up. No need to hold this unless you’re intrigued - I would drink this now without reservation. — 2 days ago
