I always love drinking this. A crazy sick value, an early drinker, consistent. Year in year out.

Nose is apricot skin. Almost a kiss of old Rieslingy aromatics. Super integrated. Lovely.

Palate is apricot and a kiss of honey. Pleasantly but not over the top rich. That’s the style. Juicy. Great acidic balance.

The 2016 is a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot. Deep Ruby with aromas of Deep Ruby with aromas of dark fruits, cigar box spice and cedar notes. On the palate flavors of fresh blackberry and black cherry with cacao, tobacco and complex spice. Youthful firm tannins, well balanced on long finish, ending with earthy mineral elegance. Very nice. Tasted ’15 and ’16 side by side, ’16 slightly better, will age well. — 4 days ago

A nose of lemon, lime and melon with a slight touch of ok but nothing too much. The palate shows a crisp acidity with salinity and yet enough richness and a nice roundness to make it very balanced, fairly good length too. Enjoyed at the lake by a beautiful crazy hot summer day.

Nez de citron, lime, melon et un petit peu de boisé aussi mais à peine. Bouche saline et tranchante, avec une belle rondeur aussi, assez riche, et une longueur intéressante. Très bon sur le bord du lac. 90-91

Having had the coveted 2005 vintage just a few months ago, ‘04 is far more open and rewarding today. So seductive and captivating. Smoked meats, black fruits, balsamic glaze and hints of roasted sage leaves and tobacco. The tannins are integrated beautifully and the finish shows wonderful finesse, elegance and length. Gorgeous now but will continue to improve over the next 8-10 years. — 5 days ago
