From half with perfect cork. Very balanced with drying tannins. Much better after two+ hour decant. — 7 days ago
Quintessential old Bordeaux — 7 days ago
Medium ruby , slighter narrower ruby / pink rim , a little less bright . Slightly deeper , darker fruits , blueberry, violets , with scorched earth , mineral and grafite . On the palate , more intensity and power perhaps , more noticeable though still velvety tannin , dark fruits , mineral , saline , fresh cigar. Lovely fresh acidity , balanced alcohol . Long saline , mineral tinged, slightly toasty finish . Needs time obviously , but will be one of the great wines from a great vintage in 20 years, just wait — 21 days ago
Some raspberries and cherries, a little of tannins. Was great with braised elk and king trumpet mushrooms. — 13 days ago

It was fine. I continue to be underwhelmed in Bordeaux. — 3 days ago

2015 vintage. Last tasted 11.4.21 (9.4). Late night PNP. Slightly less tannins and has picked up a bourbon-styled nose along with a mostly decomposed/integrated manure cameo. Light-medium body. Raspberry and delicate chocolate notes resonate. The cigar/tobacco influences still there but less pronounced. Wine is getting prettier but squarely between homme et femme. Finish is still no stops till Hades. 5.14.24. — 3 days ago
