Yum. On the nose: black pepper, raspberry coulis, spft leather, gamey olive. On the palate: excellent acidity, still, olive brine, pickled onion, beef jerky, dried black raspberry. This is exactly what old syrah is supposed to be about. Still lovely. — 5 years ago

It can be difficult for me to identify the flavors in wine, but the pinot noir in this wine expressed beautiful fruit on the nose and palate, but slightly higher acidity which (to me) clashed ever so slightly with the taste. Don't mistake me though, this wine is excellent and is very well done — 4 years ago
Rich dark fruits. Dried violet on the nose. Saddle leather, wet earth. Lacks a bit of acidity. — 3 years ago

A brilliant vintage for this wine. A top 5 Crozes. Easy. Spice, game, some funk, blueberry, black berry, black cherry, huge granite and even some wilted flowers. Young but tasty palate of dazzling granite and velvety tannins and engaging energy from the minerality. Terrific power, depth and concentration. Needs 5 years. So long and such beautifully defined fruit on the incredibly long finish. Really rich and dark. Awesome. Wait 5 years. As this opens the balance becomes superb. Almost a 9.4. I’ll be back. — 5 years ago

Cute label with a nautilus. Pretty color with a hint of rose petals. Smells like hibiscus red zinger tea and cranberry sauce. Flavors are mellow and warm. Fruits in a toasted Danish. Finish is tannic yet likable. — a month ago
