Château Bonnin Pichon

Château Fayat

Pomerol Red Bordeaux Blend 2019

2019 vintage. A relatively new estate, composed by buying 3 estates(Vieux Bourgneuf, Prieurs de la Commanderie, and Commanderie de Mazeyres), and renamed after the owner Clement Fayat (who also owns La Dominique and Clement Pichon). Looks a bit older than expected. Very floral nose. Medium-bodied, with red fruit, fresh acidity, slightly rustic tannin, and good length. Gets better with air. Very cheap for Pomerol in a local supermarket ( 29,90 euro),a nice bottle of wine, but nothing really special for Pomerol. — 5 days ago

Good weekday wine. Great minerality. Really liked it. — 3 months ago

Château de Pez

Saint-Estèphe Cabernet Franc Blend 2020

2020 vintage. Supposedly from the same winemaker as Pichon-Lalande. Big. Some chunkiness. Some refined qualities. Decent thrust and balance. Value play without any specific, remarkable, go-to quality. 3.6.24. — 2 months ago

Pauillac Red Bordeaux Blend 2015

2019 vintage. A bit more Merlot than Cabernet, but the latter seems to dominate the nose. — a month ago

Château Pichon-Longueville Baron

Le Pauillac de Pichon Longueville Red Bordeaux Blend 2005

Had this wine in december. This one was in line with my last encounter. Old school Medoc style. A lot tertiary characteristics. — 2 months ago
