Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2014

A little too much Brett in this bottle. Or it’s just a root day — 2 days ago

Terrasses Côte-Rotie Syrah 2015

Nice nose and fruit. Though not absolute top shelf Syrah , should represent good value and long life. Worth taking a flyer to hold — 2 months ago

Côtes du Rhône Red Rhone Blend 2023

2023 vintage. Decanted and tasted after an hour. Medium-heavy body. Smooth and plummy with a hint of spice on the finish. Drinking beautifully currently but could age for a spell without worries. 05.02.25. — 8 months ago

Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2022

A classical, and more regional-driven Burgundian 100% Pinot Noir. Enticing sharp red cherry color, red fruity aromas with rounded acidity, so typical from Burgundy’s soil of clay-limestone based. Since it combines grapes sourcing from village to village with different terroirs selected to enhance an elegant expression of Pinot Noir, this one still keeps the Ropiteau’s house style. It is definitely an excellent region representation at an excellent price point. Cheers! — 9 months ago

Fossiles Pinot Blanc 2019

Vintage 2019 | Great wine, an unusual and very spicy smell, awesome balance with everything in the right place: structured, acidity and spicy bitters. Paired with choucroute. — 4 days ago

Côtes du Rhône White Rhone Blend 2012

Shedding some of its exuberant herbal youth, this is now in a balanced, prettier place. Fascinating evolution. I only wish I had more. — 3 months ago

Little Bay of Caves 14 Years West Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey

Not really a whisky drinker, but I can appreciate this Scotch. Very woodsy and dry. Cedar with orange bitters, and oaky vanilla bean. Clean fresh finish, with a long lasting Szechuan pepper tingle and wood chips towards the end. 14 yr single malt. — 8 months ago

Whispering Angel Côtes de Provence Rosé Blend 2024

Very light salmon pink taking on that orange hue. Aromatics are orange blossom, hibiscus, and lemon grass with some vanilla tying them neatly together. Flavor is citrus fruit and creamsicle with a brief stop on the mid palate for some tannins and then a sharp cleansing acidity. Goes very well with an elote risotto with chipotle chicken. — 5 months ago
