Cuvée Ste. Catherine Schlossberg Alsace Grand Cru Riesling 2022

Perhaps something is off with my palate today, but tasting one of the world‘s great rieslings was a massive disappointment. Can’t get past the extraction and the insanely high alcohol that dwarfs the moderate acidity and faint minerality. Highly extracted phenolics. Least disappointing of the lineup, but worst once you factor in price — 7 months ago

Stunning. Nose is ripe blackberry, granite, super floral and pure. Unreal nose. Decadent. Young as fuck. — 23 days ago

Corneas with such little age, I guess it was as tight as a drum. And now I better understand the visual intensity… 👍🏾

L'Inédit! Cuvée Ste. Catherine Schlossberg Alsace Grand Cru Riesling 2013

Opulent and hedonistic nose and entry. Wonderfully balanced feinherb/demi-sec mouthfeel on the midpalate and finish.
Complex and delightful wine, showing better on day 2.
