Gaja

Sorì San Lorenzo Langhe Nebbiolo 1997

Still has plenty of zip to go with the rich heft. Drinking well with a lengthy decant. — 12 days ago

Monte Bello Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 1995

5/25 with Howard. Lotsa power. Hard edged at first with lots of structure. Mellowed beautifully. Complex. Became port like. 90 — 9 days ago

Estate Monte Bello Vineyard Chardonnay 2022

Exactly what I was looking for to pair with shrimp and zucchini. Good acidity. Good weight. A bit of vanilla but not much. — 12 days ago

Bolgheri Sassicaia Cabernet Sauvignon Cabernet Franc 2015

Lucid and supple. Rounded fruit. Contained. Not too hot with lovely purity. Great stuff. A little tight. Some dried herbs. Delicious. — 5 days ago

San Valentino Sangiovese Blend 2019

Cherries, nice smoothly integrated tannins. A bit more sugar than I usually go for but overall extremely pleasant. I could see this going well with a meal that wants a leaner but still luscious red — 23 days ago

Bedrock Wine Co.

Evangelho Vineyard Heritage Zinfandel Blend

A big wine in a big bottle that made a big group of friends very happy. The 2017 Evangelho Heritage (from magnum) is energetic with loads of sweet dark fruit. It doesn’t lack zing even though this year’s blend is short in Carignan — there are nice balancing acids and mild tannins. It is richer and riper than many vintages but still vibrant. — 6 days ago

San Giusto a Rentennano

Percarlo Toscana Sangiovese 2006

Fresh forest fruits, and macerated berries as well, sweet spices, soft oak, beautiful tannines, gentle acidity. A bigger, fuller styled Percarlo, wonderful! — 11 days ago

Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir 2020

A little shy at first but really opens up and shows after a couple hours of air. Classic Santa Cruz Mtns Pinot. Earthy. A touch candied. Long finish. Pretty wine. 👍🏼 — a month ago
