Field blend (80% Carignan, 10% Alicante Bouschet, 4% Zinfandel and 1% Palomino) from 120 years old, ungrafted vines in Alexander Valley that Chris Brockway says he “saved from Cabernetification.” Carbonic maceration. Red fruit and white pepper on the nose. Tart red fruit (strawberry, cranberry) on the palate. Savory, slightly rustic, fresh fresh, high acidity. Very easy to drink. — 2 years ago

A very aerial expression of Carignan in carbonic maceration. The nose is almost intoxicating: black fruits, flowers, liquorice. The mouth is thin, light, silky. Crush again for this superb cuvée at a very reasonable cost. To drink a little refreshed.

Une expression très aérienne du Carignan en macération carbonique. Le nez est presque enivrant: fruits noirs, fleurs, réglisse. La bouche est fine, légère, soyeuse. Coup de cœur à nouveau pour cet superbe cuvée à coût très raisonnable. À boire un poil rafraîchi. — 4 years ago
