Semi-sweet juicy juice with some sulfur — 4 years ago
Someone else here described it as "chuggy juice" and I've never felt something more in my life — 9 months ago
Delicious wine — 2 years ago
Wanting to open one of these for a friend who is a fan, I pop and poured half the bottle, then corked and enjoyed the rest later in the evening.
I had the D&R Rodnick Mourvèdre early this year and was a bit underwhelmed. This Evangelho was much more lively, fresh and floral. This reflects much more of the D&R style (carbonic flair, crunchy bright fruits) than it does varietal (not meaty/savory in any way). Translucent purple in the glass with violets and sweet carbonic aromatics. The palate sports underripe blue and black fruits up front but the finish turns very herb crusted black cherry and dried cranberry. Zippy acidity. Fun and easy to drink. — 4 years ago

My oldest bottle of L’Alchimiste and it didn’t disappoint. Anne Sophie Dubois is a talented wine maker. More like Burgundy PN then your typical Cru Bojo. No Carbonic and fermented in used barrels. Light in color but intense red berries and hint of wet dirt. Delicious. — 2 years ago
Field blend (80% Carignan, 10% Alicante Bouschet, 4% Zinfandel and 1% Palomino) from 120 years old, ungrafted vines in Alexander Valley that Chris Brockway says he “saved from Cabernetification.” Carbonic maceration. Red fruit and white pepper on the nose. Tart red fruit (strawberry, cranberry) on the palate. Savory, slightly rustic, fresh fresh, high acidity. Very easy to drink. — 3 years ago
best carbonic syrah in the world — 4 years ago
A very aerial expression of Carignan in carbonic maceration. The nose is almost intoxicating: black fruits, flowers, liquorice. The mouth is thin, light, silky. Crush again for this superb cuvée at a very reasonable cost. To drink a little refreshed.
— 4 years ago

100% Santa Barbera Sangiovese fermented via Carbonic Maceration. Bright garnet color with a ruby core. Bright aromas of red berry fruit, violets and minerals. Flavors of red cherry, raspberry, currant, cranberry and strawberry fruit with additional notes of rhubarb and that hint of mineral. Medium length finish and crisp acidity. Quite tangy and refreshing. Light bodied and easy to drink. Very Beaujolais-like. Excellent pairing with the meat lovers pizza we had today! — 5 months ago
