Medium ruby color. Aromas of mushrooms, forest floor, black cherries and wildflowers. Leaning toward dried blackberry fruit on the palate with additional notes of black cherry, balsamic vinegar, black pepper and dried herbs. Wonderful salty/earthy note on the long and lingering finish. So complex and lively. Medium bodied and well layered. Chalky tannins. Big 15% alcohol content but who cares? Outstanding vintage from an outstanding producer. Thanks for sharing, Keith S! — 23 days ago
Grosso! Might be too big if I wasn’t tasting twenty-five other wines. Still, it was quite nice and I would revisit w something tomato. — 22 days ago
Light to medium ruby , wide light garnet ruby rim . Fresh herbs , pine and red cherries on the nose , very fresh and pure . On the palate slightly spicy cherry , cedar , dried herbs, liquorice . Nice rounded red fruit , but with fresh lively acidity and fine , ripe medium tannins. Good length , with a herbal , spicy cherry tinged finish . Drink now and over the next 2-3 years whilst it retains the fresh fruit character that makes this so attractive — 8 days ago
Remember the scene in Downton Abbey when Lady Mary Crawley has to jump in and save her pigs? That’s this wine. Bold, feisty, rich and strong. Won’t hesitate to get down and dirty when working. Will still have enough energy to cook you an omelette afterwards. I have no fucking clue if I’m making any sense… — 10 days ago
On nose, its warm and ripe fruits there, oak, black cherries, some white pepper. On palate, wine is medium bodied, fruit is still fresh despite of some aging, tannic at the end, and elevated acidity. This still need some time, try it after 2026 if you can hold it. Cheers! — 10 days ago
An outstanding bottle similar to the previous times I have had it. 3 hour slow ox and then decanted at dinner. Went brilliantly with white truffles! Had the Caprili with the veal and the body may have suited the veal but the Soldera was the WOTN — 16 days ago

2019 vintage. Last tasted 10.22.24 (9.4) and 3.20.24 (9.3). Tasted side by side with the 2018 vintage (9.5). Medium-heavy bod. Biggie, encompassing nose. Showing very well currently for an exalted vintage. Finish could use a touch of denouement as it's a bit wild as we speak. Yet, the entire package is fairly formidable currently. Another 4+ years should find this steering into smoother waters and drinking phenomenally. — 2 days ago
