Notre Vue Estate GSM Rosé 2019 Chalk Hill, California
Pretty salmon in color.
Nose of citrus, limes, light raspberries, spices, earth, vegetables and minerals.
Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity, crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with raspberries, strawberries, cherries, limes, grapefruits, citrus, green apples, herbs, spices and white pepper.
Nice finish with spices and almonds.
This is a very enjoyable Rosé from Chalk Hill, Sonoma County. Fruit forward and refreshing with nice complexity.
Nicely balanced with a buttery mouthfeel. Better when properly chilled.
Good by itself or with food. I had it by the pool with soft cheeses.
A blend of 34% Grenache, 33% Syrah and 33% Mourvedre.
12.7% alcohol by volume.

Medium garnet rim, pretty and perfumed. Medium acidity and long, chewy finish of mild cranberry, some pencil lead. Really impressive structure - stewed plum? Consistently good producer of terroir-focused Pinot. The Freedom Hill is lovely. Oh, lavender too. — 6 days ago
Classy stuff! Bone dry, reticent aroma, but med-full bodied texture and long, raspy, lingering finish. Reminds me of high end Alsatian Pinot Blanc and perfect foil for French/Viet Namese Fusion. Such a pure pleasure. Willamette whites are coming into their own and really rock in’! — 3 days ago
Live Fast, Love Hard, Die Young. Name of an old tune and a pretty little Hill Country pet nat of Touriga Nacional with a swinging stopper cap.
The heady beery foam is in no hurry - sticks around for a minute.
Spiced orange coriander Christmas ale. Peaches and soft pink cantaloupe. — 13 days ago
Spectacular concentration now at 7yrs old. Brown bag please - I need to fool some experts. 1 bottle remains. 100% PV from near Flint Hill. Micro-lot by Dave Hilti — 13 days ago
medium ruby, tawny rim; plum, raspberry, rose petals, dried leaves; red fruits, good length; mid-weight, nice acidity, fine grained tannin, 14.5% ABV; made from 100% Pinot Noir composed of 53% clone 115 and 47% clone 667, sourced from one of Santa Rita Hills coldest vineyards in southwestern corner of appellation unsheltered from cold winds and Pacific Ocean fog, aged 20 months in 29% new French oak; $70 — 11 days ago
Precise nose of beeswax and juniper that becomes clove and chive, jasmine carnation and magnolia, candied lemon peel, ginger and dill. The palate is juniper berry leaping from the glass, juniper flower, bee pollen, orange blossom, lemon blossom, coriander, violets, lavender, peppercorn edge, celeriac root, and depth! This is thick fare, with heat and resonance. #barrhill #barrhillgin #caledoniaspirits #caledoniaspiritsbarrhillgin #gin #moderngin #vermont #vermontgin #juniper #rawhoney #craftgin — 21 days ago
