A wonderful nose. Limpid wet rocks, gentle lime, salty notes. Very raveneau- subtle but powerful with that distinctive. Kinda haunting... really broad and long. Minerality but all gently woven. Great stuff. — 5 years ago

PnP. Drinking young. Very dark, thick red color. Medicinal tones, cedar, and dark cherries on the nose with some oak. Same on the palate. Seems higher than the 14.4 OH. Next to zero finish which is disappointing. Average Napa Cab right now and seems way overpriced at $60+. — 3 years ago

Word on the street is Butteaux triumphs MDT in warm vintages. In comes Raveneau Butteaux 2005. It had a superb nose that made it hard to put down. Palate didn’t quite match, but Raveneau is always a pleasure to drink — 5 years ago
