Talk about an enormous wine. The 2005 is downright youthful and packed to the gills with fruit and character. Dark fruited with anise and black pepper. It was just so dense that everything seemed locked up right now…and we can thank Mourvedre for that. This was very tasty with cassoulet, Toulouse sausage and duck confit. If I were going to open another one of these, I would probably hold until 2030 and this will probably last for another 25 years beyond that. A massive wine with a long future yet ahead. — 8 months ago
Starts off with a very evolved fruity character, but that quickly blows off.
Lovely purity beyond that - fresh black currant, with a bit of darker, earthy undergrowth, some red fruit, a hint of cedar wood, a touch of bell pepper. A bit evolved yet still juicy & pure.
Beautiful mouthfeel with nicely evolved, slightly mellowed yet still juicy tannins, evolved fruit yet still fresh acidity.
This is peeking or already has peeked but today is drinking so nicely!
A really nice one! — 2 years ago
Reddish in color with light intensity.
Nice and elegant nose of red fruits with chocolate notes.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with cherries, red currants, earth, light wood, spices and coffee.
Medium plus on the finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.
This young, 4 year old Barolo, is already drinking nicely, even by itself.
Well balanced and elegant.
This 2020 vintage was great for Barolo, and is very approachable right now. Will continue to age nicely in the next 10 years and beyond.
I've had the 2015 vintage a few years ago, and this vintage is drinking better. Complex with a soft mouthfeel.
Good right out of the bottle and better with some airtime. A good sipping wine, and will pair nicely with food too.
A blend from three different Nebbiolo Vineyards in Serralunga d'Alba. Aged in large oak barrels for 2 years.
14% alcohol by volume.
91 points.

Took 3 hours and was unforgiving when initially opened but then at 3 hours it was heavenly. Just classy beyond belief and a pillow on your palate with incredible fruit. Elite finesse and had that X factor. It was better than an 08 Roumier Les Cras that I had a sip of. I think I’d wait 2-3 more years on these or decant for 3 hours. — 2 years ago
Venge Bone Ash is just so consistent. No corners or sharp edges to negotiate. Smooth and textured, displaying coffee, black fruits, moderate sweetness, and a tannic structure, which tilts beyond medium. Consumed across two days, and it behaved across both. — 3 years ago
Really smooth! Bought at grant park market. — 7 months ago
So much cassis, black currant and rich sweetness. Very atypical for a Margaret River Cabernet - this is more Barossa or McLaren Vale. Less herbaceous than is usual for Margaret River in this warm vintage. A rich medium to full bodied palate with excellent concentration and smooth persistent tannins. My 2nd of 6 and a vintage that will last well beyond 2025 as one well known expert predicted. Should have the next bottle in 2 to 3 years time. 91% Cabernet Sauvignon; 4% Petit Verdot; 4% Cabernet Franc; 1% Merlot. — 9 months ago
