Nice smooth, rich, classy wine. Tons of blackberry and some light tartness. Subtle tannins. Full mouth. — 23 days ago
Tonight's wine is the 2018 Benton-Lane Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. From Monroe, Oregon.
On the nose there is cherry, strawberry, raspberry, vanilla, spice, mushroom, forest floor and earth.
On the palate is cherry, raspberry, strawberry, vanilla, clove, red currant, spice , herbal notes, oak and earth.
This is a medium bodied wine with a fresh velvety mouthfeel medium + acidity and a mediumfine corse tannins that moves into a medium + to long red & dark fruit earthy finish. Drank on 2nd day. Some buttery notes surprised me. Oak had faded. Still good but not great — 16 hours ago
