The user friendly 2019 vintage is softly textured; Fruity, aromatic, balanced, flavorful, with light, tannic finish. Definitely a nod towards Bordeaux Right Bank. Drink now, slightly chilled.

Tonight we did a Napa merlot tasting with our Spaghetti dinner. 2020 Duckhorn’s Napa Merlot against 2019 Whitehall Lane Merlot.
The Whitehall is ruby colored with aromas of raspberry, candied apple, and a bit of earthiness. On the bud, a nice spice note and cherry. It’s rich and very smooth. Our winner is the Whitehall. Note the this is $40 at the winery while the Duckhorn is $58.
