Nicely perfumed & very elegant.
Ripe black currant & black cherry, with some cassis. There’s some nice cedar wood hints and a bit of orange peel. Fresh, juicy, enticing.
Such a nice mouthfeel, the tannins juicy, velvety, beautifully polished & finely grained. Impeccable balance and nice depth & precision. More damson plum on the palate with a hint of cherry. Nice finish with a touch of menthol & salt.

Had the 2016 on Derby Day 2025. Dark, rich fruits. Some chocolate with a hint of leather. Vanilla and caramel from the barrel. Very interesting wine. The artwork on the front label is absolutely fascinating. Had to do the back of the bottle to get it in this app. — 9 hours ago

This wine had very good bright fruit flavors. Minimum tannins. A touch of acidity that was needed to keep it from being too juicy.
