I have this once every 5 years. Always a good bottle. — 2 months ago
Decant and pour. On the nose: dark fruit, pencil shavings, green bell pepper, leather, mushrooms. Taste: a brooding, still austere, structured wine with dark fruit, cassis, smoked earth, cigar, minerals, crushed stone. Some pronounced tannins want you to give it more time for a better score in the future.

Had the 2021 in February of 2026. Lots of blueberry and vanilla with some spice with this one. Enjoyed this one more with food rather than sipping alone. — 7 months ago

#AgedWineTuesday
Dark ruby in color with a wide reddish/ brick rim.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity.
Dry on the palate with a beautiful nose.
Showing black plums, black currants, cedar, dried figs, licorice, dark chocolates, earth, rhubarb, tobacco leaf, light black tea and black pepper.
Long finish with soft tannins and tangy cherries.
This 32 year old Pauillac is still drinking beautifully, but a bit past its prime. Rich and elegant. Very complex and spicy.
This Second Growth Bordeaux needed 5 hours to open up properly, and was not that special right out of the bottle.
Nicely balanced with a nice mouthfeel, and still showing enough fruits to balance the earth notes.
Robert Parker 91 points.
Good by itself as a sipping wine, and with food.
A blend of 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Petit Verdot.
12.5% alcohol by volume.
93 points.

Rich and full bodied. I decanted it for 4 hours and it was a lot better than the last bottle. Amazing structure after 16 years. Would get more in the future. Nutty and spicy. — 7 months ago

Browning on the edges and drinking extremely well. Tannins have melted and the fruits are subtle but present making this a really good drinker right now. — 2 months ago
This was showing beautifully with good richness, balance, red & black fruits, earth, spice box, cedar, leather & tobacco notes — 3 months ago
Double decant and pour(some fine/cloudy sediment). A striking still dark magenta color with bricking. On the nose: subtle perfumed notes of dark fruit, pencil shavings, smoked meat, worn leather, tobacco leaf, eucalyptus. Taste: silky, balanced wine with some dried dark fruit, currants, earth, asian spice, dried herbs, and a graphite/dried cherry/coffee ground medium plus finish...lacks some depth and some still there sharp tannins gonna knock the score down. — 3 months ago
