The description: This wine showcases a deep garnet color with purplish highlights. The initial aromas are complex, and after a brief aeration, it reveals scents of stewed small black fruits and candied cherries. We notice a pleasant acidity on the palate balanced by well-presented and structured tannins. This wine delivers notes of black fruits and toasty flavors on the finish. Complex and well-balanced, the finish is long and lingering. The opinion: Beautiful! Enjoy. — 8 months ago
The description: Los Haroldos Estate Malbec is a classic, rich, intensely fruity Malbec from high altitude vineyards. Ripe fruit, smoke and chocolate on the nose with fleshy blackberry fruit.
The opinion: Excellent and description accurate. Great value as well — a year ago
The description: Nearly black in the glass with a deep purple rim. Scents of black plum, cured green and black olives, orange pulp and smoky bramble dominate the nose. The palate is a deep and luxurious expression of ripe black and red fruit flavors followed by dried meat tones and sweet herbs. This powerful blend is boosted by supple acidity and the wine finishes with subtle tannins.
The opinion: Drinks very nicely, great afternoon drinking — 2 months ago
The description: Chateau Pesquié Quintessence Rouge is a well-rounded blend of Syrah and Grenache grapes, grown in the scenic mountainside vineyards of Ventoux in the Rhone Valley. It boasts an intense ruby-red color and aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, and spices, all of which are complemented by earthy and smoky undertones.
The opinion: Description accurate, but it needs a hunk of red meat or a rich duck sausage dish. It’s ok but better around for the value. — 6 months ago
The description: Fleur d’Eglantine gets its name from its acidulous freshness and its luminous colour, reminiscent of the petals of the wild roses that surround our vinyards. It’s a delicate rosé, airy and acidic, which unites floral aromas and crunchy red berries. Grape Grenache mixed with Mourvèdre and a dash of Syrah
The opinion: Brilliant value for this depth of flavour. I am off to buy a case of….no more said!

The description: Domaine du Cayron Gigondas is a traditional, full-bodied French red wine from the Southern Rhône Valley, known for its rich blend of Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Cinsault grapes. Produced by the Faraud family for five generations, it features intense dark fruit, spice, and earthy notes, with a velvety texture and long, savoury finish.
The opinion: Delicious. Needs a good stew or steak. — 4 months ago
The description: Wonderful loganberry aroma on the nose, or deeply intense raspberry and black cherry, after which exotic spice and freesia scents become apparent. Beautifully fresh and expressive in the mouth; medium-bodied and rounded with present but understated tannin and acidity. This is so delicious that it will inevitably be consumed straight away...but should you forget about few bottles, they will age beautifully for at least another 5-6 years.
The opinion: It’s fine but did not meet expectations. — 6 months ago

The description: From the sun-soaked limestone terraces of Bandol, this powerful red captures the very soul of Provence. Château de Font Vive is a small, almost secret estate — no flashy marketing, just pure dedication to Mourvèdre and Grenache. In the glass, it’s an explosion of dark cherries, ripe plums, and blackberry, wrapped in peppery spice and Provençal herbs. Silky yet robust tannins give it a bold structure, while a long, warming finish leaves you craving the next sip. Whether you enjoy it now with a hearty lamb stew or cellar it for a decade, this is Bandol as it was meant to be — rich, authentic, unforgettable. If you’re looking for a wine that turns a meal into an occasion, this is it. Grape 85% Mourvèdre, 15% Grenache
The opinion: Started well but didn’t follow through. Has potential, but need to wait a couple of years. — a month ago
