Silky & sexy, b-day half bottle. — 3 years ago
Bright red berry fruit aromas and flavors with earthy hints of tobacco and cocoa. Hint of baking spice on the nice finish. Medium bodied and quite rich. Nice. Thank You Ron B! — 5 years ago
A mistake to open this so early. At first it was acidic and slightly disjointed, but 2 hrs of air allowed it to show ita potential. On the nose: very rich, with brioche, vanilla, loads of dense fruit to back it up. On the palate, fantastic acidity, lemon oil, rich mousse and great density, some wild strawberry. Long finish. Revisit with 《significant》additional bottle age. — 6 years ago
Armagnac is hot right now. I particularly enjoy trying older spirits. A taste of the past. This one is certainly delicious with caramel be and spice, though there is also a dusty element to it, especially noticable on the finish. Delicious though and fun to try something made decades ago. — 8 years ago
Surprising. Delicious. No back label. — 10 years ago
Another excellent vintage of this Alsatian classic. Blend of Gewurtztraminer (30%), Pinot Gris (24%), Riesling (19%), Sylvaner (18%), Pinot Blanc (6%) and Muscatel (3%). Pale yellow color with light green highlights. Fresh aromas and flavors of green apple, Asian pear, white flowers, quince, lemon and tropical fruit. Touch of spice on the long, nutty and crisp finish. Medium bodied and well balanced. Bracing acidity, nice structure and bone dry. So fresh and clean. Thanks for the glass, Chris B! — a year ago

Had w steak. Accessible, good bit/tannins but not over the top, some blue berry undertones.
Likely buy again
,"reds joust spectacularly with the kinds of dishes you think about when there is a cool spring evening that might call for a fire pit— steaks, grilled vegetables, burgers—but the perfect pairing is a rich, slow-cooked Daube de Boeuf, the classic red wine–beef stew of the region." — 3 years ago
White flower aromas lead with notes of honey and toasted almonds. Hint of baking spices. Ripe Peach, melon and lemon fruit dominate the pallet with a hint of pie dough and those baking spices. Nice long finish and creamy texture. Really developing well with a bit of age. Appreciate you sharing this one, Ron B! — 4 years ago
Very nice b de b. Lemon, grass, toast. Beautiful and relatively light. — 5 years ago
Really an exceptional perfectly aged red burgundy from our favorite appellation. Had at Tour d’Argent in Paris - one of the best wine lists in the world. Crazy value for a wine this old, and really delicious. Very aromatic with dried red fruit and some definite secondary / tertiary notes. But palate is quite fresh - lots of acid and a hint of menthol. Well integrated tannins and very smooth and persistent finish. Excellent. — 8 years ago

Another good showing for the 04 lineup from chez B Morey... medium gold, nice weight. Leesy citrus nose including notes of tan spice, wet stone and a hint of petrol. Great mouth feel and finish. In a perfect drinking window and at peak. Paired well with all the fish dishes we had at Flying Fish Grill in Carmel. — 5 years ago
A little Rhône fun during Christmas Eve dinner with a North/South option for our surf and turf affair of sous vide New York Strips and Ribeyes with King Crab legs. Popped and poured, this was a magnificent and lush example with perfectly ripe brambles, garrigue and spiced fruitcake. Mouth coating without feeling heavy or overbearing in anyway. Tannins are resolved and I can say with a high degree of confidence that these are in a great place for drinking now. In case anyone was wondering, the Northern Rhône we drank alongside was a European bottled B. Levet Côte Rôtie “Les Journaries” (known there as “La Maestria”). — 8 years ago
