Côte-Rôtie Syrah 2005

No formal notes . Deeper ruby , medium wide ruby , garnet rim . Nice dark fruits , garrigue , black pepper. In the mouth nicely balanced acidity dark fruits , black pepper and herbal touches . Quite mineral and balanced on the medium length finish , fine slightly grippy tannins . Elegant and refined. Drinking well now though absolutely no rush , prime drinking over the next 5-10 years perhaps . — 20 days ago

Les Tillets Meursault Chardonnay 2017

2024/7/12-14. I’ve really missed drinking Jobard’s wines. Opening with toasty lemon tart, this reveals a wide, spicy bouquet and a remarkably savory, saline mineral palate. — 7 months ago

Carco Patrimonio Nielluccio 2020

Really a very nice Corsican red. I believe the grape is the local version of Sangiovese. Has some very different purple flowers and herbal notes, but still the great tension and acid. Delicious and interesting. — 7 months ago

Les Plantes aux Bois Côte de Nuits-Villages Pinot Noir 2016

Still a little closed, needs some time or significant air but tremendous purity and whole cluster structure, red fruit driven with rose petals, wet earth and leaves, a touch of smoke and stony limestone character aplenty — 9 months ago
